about me

I am a research strategy and research development consultant based in Sydney (Australia). Whether you are an individual or working for a research institution (e.g. university, faculty, institute) or an organisation in the research and health sector (e.g. foundation, association, scholarly society), my experience in academic research will help you develop your research capabilities, maximise the impact of your research and create new opportunities through strategic analysis, development and planning, communication advice, as well as building collaborations and partnerships.

After earning my PhD in structural biology from Joseph Fourier University, France (now part of Université Grenoble Alpes), I moved to Australia where I worked for 13 years as a researcher in computational biophysics at The University of Queensland. I am also a certified Professional Scrum Master (PSM-I). With my research at the interface of biology (biochemistry, microbiology, plant biology, soil biology), chemistry (computational chemistry, physical chemistry, pharmacy, drug design), physics (spectroscopy, diffraction) and biomedical sciences, I developed multidisciplinary and transdisciplinary knowledge, skills and collaborations which have allowed me to work and communicate with diverse audiences, ranging from experts in my field (biophysics, structural biology) or in their own fields to non-experts, including artists.

I have actively promoted early- and mid-career researchers (EMCRs) through various committees at different organisational levels within The University of Queensland. I co-founded two major successful initiatives that represent and champion EMCRs: the University-wide EMCRs’ committee (EMCR@UQ) and the Brisbane Life Sciences EMCRs’ Symposium (BLiSS). I have organised, chaired, led and participated in various national and local events (seminars, conferences, panel discussions etc).
